So what makes the Grinch solo I think we’d like a bit of me maybe they don’t mind a bit of me when it comes to the green guy and I think on this one we’ve got somebody who you know you can see he’s had a past he’s the way he is because of a lottery of his birth and is a little bit more nice than behind how he becomes the bridge and a beautiful journey that he goes on as in the original books to someone who whose heart grows back to two sizes normally though what is the hallmark of an evolution I think the way that they could just include family and children and make it better riotous time listen off and just the visual brilliance of what they do what the animators do combined with humor and wit and a big fart it’s degrees and really really strong modesty as well married er um I think part of it is that he’s you know now the Grinch is an actual term for how you feel or like an expression and I think everyone has.

A Grinch in them at one time or another whether you can’t find your keys or you’re stuck in traffic I mean we’re all capable of being the Grinch and he’s better at it than everybody else so it’s just really fun to watch this character who’s so sort of good and delights and being mean that I think you get drawn in by that but then I think the overarching story of this character who is sort of transformed by the kindness and empathy of others is sort of it’s also timeless so we’re just so fun to watch that character go through and you’re you get to the point where you’re rooting for him to be healed and for him to you know enjoy things the way that we enjoy things even though we’ve enjoyed being a little bit Grinchy know that meet with him you you wanted him to kind of go on a journey and and become you know a have truly happy person also so and that’s what I think makes more French difference than three. BS I don’t know what was important to you in terms of the character and distinguishing well you know we started from the point of view of the book and and and what everyone loves about him I mean we knew that we wanted to accomplish that we also knew that we were making a feature-length movie and we wanted to explore more depth why he hates Christmas and why he is the way he is and in doing that we got to explore you know his past a little bit and the isolation and the loneliness and and we got to go into an emotionally deeper place with his character and that was really exciting because he’s such an amazing character and having somebody like benedict to play that role going through that emotional arc it was just you know it was just an honor well I think you know I think in many ways this is a bit of a different kind of illumination movie and but not said you know I think it’s maybe.
