Else I get out of the way sowe have to be honest about the thingsthat we have and so many of these thingsif they’re tools they actually serve apurpose in your life and so you can be aminimalist and still have a lot of toolsto do the tasks you need to do now theway to determine whether or not thosetools actually add value to your life isthrough temporary deprivation sometimesso again minimalism is not abouttemporaryit’s not about deprivation but it can beabout temporary deprivation to determinewhether or not these things are addingvalue to your lifeand so for me I will quite often doexperiments with different bits oftechnology so whether it’s my phone Igot rid of my phone for 60 days I wroteabout that over at the minimalists command by letting go of that I learned thatI could bring it back into my life moredeliberately it was adding value to mylife in a long term I was actuallydepriving myself of that thing I didn’twant to do that at all right I wanted Iwanted to have the thing as a tool but Ididn’t want to be a slave
